Tree of Light by ash Tree of Light by ash
Spent Sunday afternoon in Richmond Park, in South West London, with the token aim of shooting some deer (with a camera...) and trying out my first roll of the new Fuji Neopan 100 Acros ultra fine grain b&w film ... which I was quite excited about, sad as it may seem :) (Smile)

The light was absolutely wonderful, which is saying something for London at any time, let alone this close to Winter. Autumn was well under way and there were pretty scenes everywhere I looked. I found this tree, which I liked.

Hey vernec were sharing minds eh?!
i was just about to say that
infrared film films are hard to use, you have to load it in complet dark, and use a red filter, there is somthing hard about it, there is a filter for photo on the net that gives you that effect, to just preview what it would have looked like, but i still like it, the lighting is amazing, shows pure beauty, you have become a fine art phtographer!

Aah, you've made a good point there -- the composition might be viewed as simplistic by some. That hadn't even occured to me, because I'd become so comfortable with it myself. As you say I think it fits the theme and the symmetric nature of the subject. But it's good to be reminded of how others may perceive things.

This is fucking lovely :) (Smile)

It seems you used an infrared film, really. I love especially the way the intricate trunk comes out. Beautiful.
Nothing to say about the simplistic composition. Fits very well with the theme.

A lonely young tree but with the backup of a few older once in the background, if you like you can put a lot of symbolics in to this photo. Stunning details, this would be good for a print : )
