I spent today roaming London shooting random things as usual, but rather than just post the shots as unconnected submissions, I've decided to throw them together in chronological sequence with the unifying theme "how I spent my saturday" ... or "a day in the life of a street photographer with no life", if you prefer :) (Smile) I do this not because today was particularly exceptional (so don't get all excited) but because I suspect my approach to this all is a little unusual: wandering around in random places I've never been to on the assumption that I'll inevitably find something worth shooting (which usually works).

So without further yabbering here's the first pic, which I shot while walking to the train station from my house. As soon as I saw the hook I knew I had to shoot it just for its gritty industrial feel. The building behind it immediately suggested itself as a suitably repetitive and uncompromising backdrop.
