Round Tower Revisited by ash Round Tower Revisited by ash
I decided to have another crack at this one in photoshop in response to useful comments from verunec. So this is after some serious curves to bring out the detail in the landscape and intensify the sky. Happily this version is a lot closer to what the scene actually looked like. And the distant hills do add a lot of depth to the image, which previously looked a little flat.

Glendalough, Ireland, Sept 2002
Canon EOS 300, 24-80mm, Fuji Neopan 400, red filter, lab, scanned neg, photoshop

the sky and clouds are nice and round, not the usual flat texture one usually sees. the silhouette works well, the obelisk is an interesting little feature (well, not so little, more like looming).

Amazing cloud capture. The silhouettes create very interesting shapes, almost as though they are reaching up to touch teh clouds. Terrific photo! :D (Big Grin)

I like it. It reminds me of Ansel Adams.

Very good! It looks very traditional! I like the contrast. I don't know how much I like the border, but the border's not the focus, so what do I care! Good work!!! :) (Smile)
