I love the details in the picture, the differing textures and forms. Contrast..... I still reckong some of it may be scanner driven trouble, have you had any hand prints made yet?? How colour would have added to this I have no idea....

But would the colour version have held your attention? And were the real colours as stunning as the b&w shot allows you to imagine them? Colour shots can look good, but the colour must really work to pull it off. And it's really a black and white look that I'm after, in these shots.

I agree about the contrast, I think it's a property of the subject as much as the photograph -- the middle part is quite grey without much in the way of dramatic large scale constrasts. I like the feeling of light and of being able to see into the water though.

Hm...this is a beautiful picture, though I think the contrast could be better, I think a color version would have been better, but this is lovely, too. :) (Smile)

incredible! I can't get over how defined this picture is! the contrast and composition are remarkably perfect. I love the perspective and the use of b&w. Absolutely fabulous piece of work! you rock! Headbang!
