the grain is simply stunning, as i the overall tonal range. is this a characteristic of neopan ?

I think so, of Neopan 1600 anyway. I get the impression people use the 1600 when they want a grainy contrasty look. But I'm pretty clueles, I gave up on the 1600 a while back after getting some mixed results, but have since started rating my neopan 400 as 250, so now rate the 1600 as 1000. It seems to work better that way, on my camera. I think I'll play with the 1600 some more in the future, I like these results too.

I didn't plan this shot much at all, it was shot from the hip. To be perfectly honest I barely remember taking it, and I wasn't even aware of the curtains :) (Smile) I do like that "classic screwball comedy" sign though, yes :) (Smile)

this has such a lush debauched classic feel, with those rich curtains and the detail of the mirror reflecting the ceiling on the top left. ok, i look like a twat, but what's new ;) (Wink)
seriously superb stuff, and the angle is fantastic.

Brilliant angle. Its great how you show the environment too. Pat tells me the pub was called 'The George'. Not sure how accurate this is considering the state he described himself in when leaving rofl
