Sartorius - Farming Trial by Ascynd Sartorius - Farming Trial by Ascynd
Holy smokes I did it! Hope the next one I have to do is fewer steps egads...

Step 1 - Beginner Steps:
When Sartorius needs downtime from his adventures, he often helps others with manual labor for room and board. In this case he's suffered an injury but still willing to help out on a farm with the sowing of some cabbage.

Step 2 - Hot, Hot, Hot: An unseasonable heat wave knocks the cabbage plants flat. Even with tons of water they can have it rough if it it gets hot, but Tori is feeling better, so he carries many buckets of water to try and rejuvenate the plants as well as keep his strength up.

Step 3 - Chasing Vermin:
To try and keep the Snych invasion at bay, Sartorius erects a scare-snych with cans and pots and pans to make loud noises. One of the nearby critters doesn't seem impressed with his contraption, yet at least.

Step 4 - Harvest Time!: All the heat caused the cabbage to bolt early, unfortunately. However the land owner had plans to pickle the stuff, so the fact that it wasn't in neat head form doesn't ruin the crop.

Step 5 - Finally a Farmer!: With some experience under his belt, Sartorius is able to tackle growing some grapevines the next time around.+35

+35 Peas!

Thanks!! Coming from you that means a lot. I feel like I could use some more practice with the front view faces and the hands, but I'm definitely improving! And the lighting, I tried to make it a little different in each stage.

Yeah, I bet! It is very worth it. Something like this would take me a few weeks to do and I don't think I could get it to lool nearly as fantastic. Backgrounds aren't my strong suit.

It wasn't my strong suit either until about a year ago... I had to force myself to keep doing it despite thinking it would come out terrible.  The practice did the trick for me.

That's awesome! I'm sure I'll get there too. I love how the Griffian community encourages artists to go outside of their comfort zone. It's amazing to watch progress.
I am limited to how much I can do with my digital art until I get a computer. I digitalize everything on my phone so it's a bit tedious.

I agree, it's what I love about these kinds of groups. =) And I know how it is to be stuck with only a phone to work with, mine takes terrible pictures too, heh.

Haha! Mine takes good pictures, but they don't make very good applications for making digital art. I've been using sketchbook pro, and it's not too bad. It has a few bugs. Sometimes it doesn't save a file completely and it shows up like it has, but when I click to edit it, it's as if I started a new drawing. Can be a little frustrating if I am not careful. I constantly save copies to have a fall back in case that does happen though.

Yea, I don't have any experience with sketchbook pro... some swear by medibang but I personally find the interface clunky, and I can't imagine trying to use it on a phone (I have a tablet)
