Teen Wolf reboot - Kira

I have no idea why the actress playing Kira (Arden Cho) stated that Teen Wolf breaks stereotypes when the character she plays has so many stereotypes inside her. Maybe not running around in a geisha outfit makes the character progressive or anything.
I mean she was basically the shy and kind of nerdy Asian girl who just knows stuff from Asian cultures that are not her own, needs white people to become more confident, just picks up really fast how to use a katana (no idea where she picked it up or where she got the weapon from) and later even has glowing nunchakus once. In fact her first "tail" is a ninja-star, I know its not really called that but I see no reason to use the appropriate term since the character is already so stereotypical. Not to mention the first and only dish her family serves is sushi.
And her being a "kitsune" (which is really just the japanese term for fox) is plain bullshit, she has nothing that would identify her as such, she is just another take on the Samurai and ninjastereotypes and nothing more.
And since I think the character is so bad that I don't want to soil the image of foxes by redesigning her as one, plus that is planned for someone else, I designed her into this more oni like shape. You know actual oni, not the things Teen Wolf claimed as oni that were more like shikigami and basically another take on Teen Wolf of the ninja stereotype (the dark clothes, the weapons, the martial arts, the connection with the night and even crawling out of shadows. That is ninja stereotype for me.
