Weeks had passed since the two had seen one another, nearly a month of their young lives had moved with the seasons. From Penzi's perspective the time had gone swiftly. He had returned home, spent time with his family, enjoyed the summer sun and returned to pick up his best friend...However, upon retreiving Kamli he immediatly knew something was wrong. Whatever Kam had experienced at camp, it was completely different from the summer Penzi had..The light that normaly shined in Kam's warm hues was dull, dimmed by the horrors from the last few weeks. His smile didn' reach his cheeks the same way it used to and in some ways he seemed...older. Despite the heaviness in the air Penzi did his best to keep the mood up. It took a few self depricating jokes before Kam finally cracked a small smile and nuzzled into his friend.
"I really missed you Penzi," he chuckled warmly
