Art vs artist 2023

2023 in art ✨🎨! This has been a bit of an art block year again (even though I started the tear wanting to do at least a drawing per month welp xD), and I very nearly wasn't able to fill the full grid even with the embroidery and cross stitch projects, but some WIPs came to the rescue 😅. Here's to more arts and crafts in 2024, tho 😁✨!

This year I did two complete portraits (Hatshepsut with graphite and sanguine in January, and a graphite portrait of Angela Lansbury in October-November), plus my first ever space art (in my adult life, that is xD) with a nebula watercolour for the #spacetober challenge. I also worked a bit on my flowers-and-leaves embroidery practice (although I didn't finish the set) and went back to cross stitch with some apples and a WIP of flowers. Other WIPs mainly include a lineart of Nefertiti (experimenting with the grid method, which I'm not sure I prefer), and an unfinished watercolour colouring of a late 2000s drawing of PilarErika as an OC in Rivendell. I'll be posting several of these separately with details and WIPs 😃✨!
