Was she Batgirl before becoming Oracle in your interpretation?

Yes, but was naver acknowledged as a partner by Batman. This is a philosophical decision. Batman is by nature more of a loner than a leader. It was pushing things to have an active partner in Robin. He wouldn’t willingly accept someone else for whom to be responsible. Batgirl was on her own. It got her injured. Batman reluctantly accepts her help from a distance as Oracle. She helps cover up any digital footprints Batman’s operation might cause, and acts as a source of intel.

Oracle is among my favorite wheelchair-bound characters, along with Professor X of Marvel Comics.

I have my own wheelchair-bound character myself. He's a computer nut who has his own laptop and works with the team's super-computer at HQ.

One of the many reasons why I don't believe in Bat robot suits, aside of the fact that Bruce Wayne isn't an Engineer, is that if he really could create robot suits, Barbara would have the ability to walk.

I see. The way I see it, this is a superhero saga, not a mecha anime. I'm not accusing you of that; it's just my thoughts.
