Steampunk Dark Angel

Done for one of the existing themes, "Darkness Falls", at the Enchanted Visions Project. I usually title my EV pieces the same as the given theme, but I'm sticking with the original working title I was referring to this drawing as.

I've thought about doing something 'dark' every once in a while, but it's not my 'default' mood, so it took someone to say "I'm curious what you'd come up with..." for me to finally get started. Steampunk was another genre I hadn't gotten into because... the thought of drawing gears... and all that straight lines was almost repulsive to me. Although I like movies like "9", "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", "Laputa", etc., somehow, the thought of drawing steampunk fantasy myself just never occurred to me (Like how I waited forever to do anime fan art......lol)

Line art was done like 2 weeks ago and I just beat around the bushes not getting started on it, although it was true that I had lots going on outside of art. ^^
