2 years in the making. Literally more than 2 years ago I started this...then caitlincaitiecait
started throwing fuel on the fire, and even worked on it briefly....then it sat...and sat...and I'd pull it out and piddle around with it for a week or so, then feel overwhelmed/bored, and put it away again...then...yes. Finally a few weeks ago I was like "I NEED TO FINISH THIS" and so I have powered through getting it done. Also, I'd been watching a lot of Bob Ross and had some ideas for how to change the backgrounds I had (which are completely covered now). I love Bob Ross. ANYWAY...I just used pictures from Google for inspiration on the animals and some plants. Nothing painted over or anything like that.
Anyway, this is like...a faerie court of some sort. With the faerie queene being the only one allowed to wear her wings to court. And she's a bit bored with wine & cheese apparently, haha. And...yeah, I don't know why, it just was fun. I know La Tir'na'nog Dolls (sp?) did some kind of big faerie piece at one point, so maybe I'm subconsciously inspired by that. Loooooooooots of symbolism present...and probably hundreds of hours of work. Everything's baseless - here and there I looked up the kind of area I was trying to do and tried to emulate the "feel" and actual colors of it to give it a bit of authenticity.
