There is a story behind every artist- a story that can only be told in their art. Words are unseen but a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes you can tell how an artist is feeling by examining the colors they've used. Sometimes you can realize what the artist is going through by what they've drawn or painted.
Using kind words will help bring a smile to their faces. Funny conversations will help make them laugh. Telling them about what you're going through or how you're feeling will bring them hope because they'll realize they aren't the only ones.
I've recently been emotionally hurt over the weekend when I had company over. I don't want to go into detail but here's a poem I thought I'd share:
"Sometimes you fall
Sometimes you stumble
Sometimes you trip
And sometimes you tumble
But the hurting will be mended
When God heals your heart
Don't let someone upset you
It only shows how dark their hearts are
Bullies will be bullies
And your enemies will be enemies
But a good and loyal heart
Will overpower the dark and evil."
Yesterday I was surprised and awarded April Adult Customer of the month while I was teaching an art class at the Birmingham Branch Library. Ms. Julie took my picture and they put it up today. When the month is over, I get to take it home. 💖💖💖
