I just read my last journal entry on here. What a laugh!
I'm still installing surveillance. I have gained more experience and skill, and due to people leaving the company I went to only having my manager and the owner of the company as the two people higher than me. I went from making $500/ 50-60 hours to $775/45 hours. I went from barely being able to sign into a wireless access point to designing networks. From being just another set of hands to being part of the backbone has been encouraging and extremely humbling. I can't express how much on the job training has helped me.
As for my art, I've really only seen major activity just this
So my first showing seems to be going well, but no buyers. Hey, at least I met my goal and got something out into the public realm (that doesn't require a watermark).
I must admit that installing surveillance has been a nice bit of work. I enjoy the feeling of seeing results from labor. May be the same reason I enjoy spliting wood so much as well. Art can give results as well, but not as immediate...not for me anyways.
I must now state that my goal for the next 6 months is to become elligible for lateral entry and to start teaching. Yes, that is a lofting goal, but even if you aim high and miss you'll still hit the stars...unless you
So for the first time ever I'm having people pay for my services and let me use their office space for public display (it's a local chiropractor and school). Well, maybe not the payment thing. I did do some design work in college for a fraternity, but that just didn't feel real. Anyways, I just got a check for $175.00, Brevard College needed a new logo for their multicultural center, this was definitely a case of "who you know over what you know". But my test design I sent them from the idea they gave immediately exceeded their expectations. If that's not a confidence booster, I don't know what is. A short time after getting the final d
Woot woot I'm back on the interwob!!! Still can't post nothin' though cuz I don't have a scanner . But I got some pretty cool stuff to post when I do finally get a chance to. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi. Later.
If by military influence you mean got ten 200 gallon buckets of pure awesome poured on them than yeah, they got a little military influence. In all seriousness though I feel like the whole attention to detail thing has carried over into my art. I think I've gotten significantly better. Still won't be able to post anything for a while though...
