Samurai Challenge 1

Hello there,

This time I wanted to travel to distant places, to Japan and see some Samurai in heavy action. The idea developed along the way - huge monster against one brave samurai. It was a part of study of their clothes design and architecture. I even imagined this shot as a movie scene, where camera would turn around the square center to face the snake's front... if that's clear at all. I decided to finish this painting, because I loved the contrast between ready-for-action samurai and speeding snake/dragon.
