I love the overall arrangement of the things in this picture- the design, the composition and tonal display.

Looks like we both really like Hausner... :)
Excellent piece, I wish I could see it bigger!

Already before I met him personally, there was a shift in my work towards his influence. I was worried about that, so I showed him the piece Selfportrait with the Critical Eye. He liked it and reassured me that I shouldn't worry about taking a page out his repertoire: "It's not a state secret, that's why we (Vienna School) publish it..."

Something old, something new, something borrowed, and all in black and white. Love the feel of your works. Overactive imagination. Favs again.

I would like to see it in person. to marvel at your technique!

Technique: alla prima. I cannot work from preliminary scetches. It bores me to death. Every piece has to be an exploration into uncharted territory. Other than that, it's pretty basic, technically. People think I have a lot of patience, but I don't. If it wasn't for the trip drawing and painting provides, I couldn't do it. For that reason, I cannot do commissions. In life drawing classes, I used to get off on tangents (previous conversation we had, I believe).
Cheers

Another stunning drawing, shame about the third part ... I would love to see what it was and see them all together!
