Learning to grow.

I have been doing art for as long as I can remember and lately my style and thoughts behind my work are changing. I am a disabled Marine veteran with PTSD and my artwork is my way of escaping and dealing with pain and stress. I am once again going through a change of style and even a change in the media I normally work in. I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy over a year ago and since then it has progressively worsened. At first I thought it might be carpal tunnel syndrome from crocheting. I find it extremely difficult and painful some days to hold onto a pencil or brush and even to hold onto a camera without shaking. On my better days I can at least hold a camera still long enough to snap a photo so now most of my work will be photographic. I have no idea what direction my art will take me but I will continue to find a way to keep at it.

I sent a note to the DA team asking if these were legit and received a ticket number and message that DA would contact me ASAP but never heard from any one as usual. I am guessing this is bogus and am disappointed that DA does not take the issue seriously and never responds. This is not the first time they do not respond.

Starting off the new year on the wrong foot

It seems like people have nothing better to do than bitch and try to put down other people and their work. Its a new year and already I have had three deviants send me 5 complaints about my art work. I have decided that I am going to ignore people who have nothing better to do. Any notes or private messages that are sent to me will be deleted without opening them. If anyone sends me a note or comment even if it is good I probably will not read it. I am only here to share my art and to enjoy other peoples art.

When Michelangelo was commissioned to paint The Last Judgement the Popes Master of Ceremonies Biagio da Cesena complained about his work and put it down. He told the pope that the work was not appropriate for a church piece and should be in a bath house or local pub. He tried to get the pope to have it changed and punish Michelangelo, but the Pope just joked about it and Biagio da Cesena is still in the painting. I have been considering this for a long time and feel that the time has come to announce that I will be retiring from the art world. I have enjoyed creating works and sharing them even selling them over the years. I feel it's time for me to be moving on to something new that might have more of a positive effect on my life and on others. Soon I will be removing all my work from the internet and will be saying my final farewell to every one who has followed my work over the years. Thank you for your support and kindness Tony
