Profile Drawing Exercise by CaliforniaClipper
-How to approach the daunting task of drawing the human face in profile. The good news is, you can do it! You just need to start with three simple lines. The bad news is, that art store you frequent is going to get even more of your money...

InvaderDemeter's Handy Tips for Profiles by InvaderDemeter
-Some people, I've seen, need some help with profiles. So I made a tutorial. This tutorial isn't intended for absolute beginners, instead it's for people with a modicum of skill. At the very least.

Facial Expression

***** Emotions and Facial Expression by Cedarseed
-A guide to the variety of emotions the human face can express.

Facial Expressions Tutorial by Genolover
-Yep, this is a tutorial on how to do facial expressions. I love drawing faces and stuff, cuz I am an emotional person *bricked* Nah, just summin' I really enjoy doing, is all.

Expression tutorial by alexds1
-Another tutorial, this time on how to do some facial expressions.

25 Essential Expressions by napalmnacey
-This is a challenge and an exercise that I find incredibly helpful when hashing out a new character. It's good to have nearby when doing your panels and you're thinking, "Damn, what does So-and-so's nose do in this expression?" Or maybe your drawing isn't consistent and you want to keep a certain look? Catalogue them on this sheet first and keep it nearby for easy reference!

Facial Features

Eyes...

Tutorial: how to draw male eyes by Cataclysm-X
-How to draw male eyes that is! Since there are many differences between to male eye and the female eye, I chose to create a tutorial about the male eye only. I will do the female eye someday as well.

This is a great reference! Though, you wouldn't happen to know where to find a tutorial on drawing different kinds of faces, would you? (African, Chinese, Native American, and that kind of thing) It's be great if there were a tutorial on the differences between them.

:iconcaliforniaclipper: Check ^Cedarseed's tutorials, I think she has a few on the different body types/ethnicities and that might extend to faces.

If you're lucky enough to live in an ethnically diverse area, you can learn a lot from doing portrait gestures of the people on the bus/transit system -- I think this is one of the best ways to learn, because even the generalizations ("Asians have subtle features and slanted eyes") have exceptions and lots of variation.
