First of all I'd like you all to welcome the awesome DarkMyth that joined our team! She's being a great help in this moment of pure madness where everybody is busy
Share your story with us
Are you Autistic? Is one of your relative Autistic? Do you feel like sharing with us your experience? We'd like to make a serie of journals or news sharing your stories, to spread around the community more information about Autism. If you feel like taking part in this send us a note
We're planning a contest for the holidays... more info will follow in the next weeks
We've made a selection of holiday cards for you. You can find some cards perfect for this season here.
Art donations are always welcome, however please keep in mind that not everything is accepted. It is not a reflection of your talent as an artist, we merely try to keep a balance in our gallery here. Be sure to check the Donation Guide, so that you will know how to choose the right deviation to donate!
We're still interested in getting some Lit Prints, we didn't receive any so far. So I'm asking you fellow deviants that enjoy the writing art to feel generoud and donate a Litetarure Print for a good cause.
That's all for now. Have a nice day.
I am not autistic but I have a degree in Child and Youth Development and have been trained in ABA and Early Childhood Intervention. So I'm the person who (in the past has) works with the younger children one on one to help them learn essential skills. I'd love to share some stories about my experience doing early intervention and some of the excellent accomplishments I've gotten to enjoy with the students!
Feel free to write us a note with them, we'd be glad to share them with the community. Actually I hope I'll manage to start this project by next week.
My 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter are both Autistic and both at different ends of the rainbow if you are still doing your research would love to help out.
Feel free to send us a note with your story! We're still accepting them. The more stories and the better it'll be
Are you still doing the project on autism? My younger brother is autistic, so I could write something for it. But I see the journal's from December, so I may have missed it!
There is a very interesting book, called "The Mistery of the Dead Dog", written by a 15-year-old boy with the Sindrome of Asperget. You feel like you are inside his mind. I never looked at the world around me with the same eyes after reading it. Maybe you could recommend it?
Thanks a lot for the hint, we might recommend that book in our next journal
My brother has asperger's, which is within the autism spectrum.
does that count?
does that count?
It counts and I'm really glad you answered. I was tempted to note you to ask if you were interested in sharing your story as I remembered about your brother
