A number of members have expressed annoyance at the numerous ads for the sale of pelt, bone, and other items. I too feel that the number of sales ads in this group has gotten somewhat out of hand. In some galleries, the ads out number the actual taxidermy works.

What should we do about these ads?

Currently, I propose the following solutions:

:star:Option A
We can disallow sales ads and direct them to other groups. There are already a number of groups specifically dedicated to sales with an active customer base. They include the following:

:iconfur-trading-post:
:iconthe-chop-shop:
:iconfur-bone-and-feather:

Other groups that host sales of specific items:
:iconcritter-collectors:
:iconnothingbuttails:
:iconfurpelts:
:iconbonecollectors:

If we go with this option, the ads will not show up in you message box. We will affiliate these groups and direct members there if they are looking to shop. Sales ads will still be allowed in comments, just not submissions.

:star:Option A
We can create a section in the group gallery specifically for sales. Please be aware that the sales will still show up in your messages.

Please post your thoughts. Any suggestions are welcome. If you any better ideas, please post here or note me.

I'm trying to put some skulls teeth back in that my friend gave me.
I have all the molars in right but the small front teeth all look the same and kind of confuse me.
does anyone have any advise on doing this?
ps im sorry if I is posted in a bad place

If you have carnivore skulls, these images should help you:
Side - 4.bp.blogspot.com/-haevYZ3-4-c…
Front - encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/ima…

In the smaller premolars (not the tiny front incisors) you can look on either side of the tooth. One side will be perfectly slick, while the other side will have a groove. The groove is on the inside of the mouth while the slick side shows on the outside.
As for the tiny front teeth, always remember that the smaller ones are in the middle. When putting skulls together, I work biggest to smallest. Put in the fangs, then the little fangs next to it, then the next size down, then the final tiny ones in the middle.
With bottom teeth, you will see a little notch in the face of the tooth. That little notch always aims outward. So when putting the bottom jaw back together, I put in the lower fangs, then the biggest of the front bottoms in with that little notch pointing outward. Then just work your way to the smaller teeth.

Sorry, but this is a group for taxidermy mounts, not drawings.

I was wondering if you guys could post a journal or something. I'm in need of some white rabbit feet and some brown rabbit ears >_o I have to make them a replacement on the pelt I have because some of the fur came off my ears and the front feet I had didn't survive (the back feet were not included to start with, so). The pelt is a mini lop's pelt, so the rabbit we're stealing parts from needs to be roughly the same size.

Hey Guys! I know I'm currently dealing with almost no pelts right now, but I do have a few fox feet worth taking a look at if you're into doing your own taxidermy. (Or tanning for, thereof) The link for them all is here as so is the story of how they came to be. That's about it for now otherwise. Hope to hear from you soon!
