This long deviation is a little beginners guide to help people get started with setting up brushes in drawing programs.. Please forgive me if I have grammar mistakes and such, this is my first attempt at this kind of tutorial. I hope it helps you begin your art journey. Enjoy!

I've just got a Wacom tablet from my husband so I'm so happy for this beginner tips.  I've got Photoshop elements 10 and battle to find the place where you do all thos settings.  The only settings that I can found  is for Fade, Hue Jitter, Scatter, Spacing, Hardness and roundness.    All those Brush presets Brush tip shape is not there.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks Elsa

I use Photoshop CS6. I tried to dig up some info regarding the settings for, but I think those are the only options for Elements 10. I think Elements is mostly an imaging software, so they might not have as many options. That's the consensus I found in searching for the topic. I;m not sure if this option shows up for your brush settings dialogue box, but you could try looking into it. Its usually found here on the settings.<img src="fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/201…" width="95">

WoW, thank you very much for sharing this, I'm still a beginner in digital art and this is really helpful.
So , you say Photoshop has not a proper tool to smudge or blur? Do you know if Clip Studio Paint has something like that? if not, I guess I should download Paint tool SAI. Thanks in advance.
