[DEVIATION] Some nights, I talk to the ceiling because it never tells me I'm too much. I scroll through old conversations, reading words that used to mean so much. I laugh when someone asks, "Hey, are you okay?" Because somehow, "I'm fine" is easier than explaining the day. There are people all around me— friends, voices, faces, noise— yet sometimes I’d give anything for one person to simply notice the silence in my voice. Loneliness isn't always being alone. Sometimes it's being surrounded and still wishing someone would stay when you finally stop pretending you're okay. I miss being someone's first thought, someone's "Did you get home?" someone who notices when I'm quiet and doesn't let me disappear into my own. Maybe that's the hardest part— not wanting the whole world, just one heart that understands without making me ask to be heard. And tonight, I won't pretend I'm fearless. I'm lonely. I'm tired. But I'm still here. Maybe tomorrow, someone will sit beside me and make this
