Do not use in any way without my written permission!

Ta-dah, it’s finished. And I’m done!

You can’t imagine how much I had to force myself to complete that microphone! I almost let it disappear into the background (*little hairy demon whispering into my ear “Just take that 9B pencil, cover the whole thing up, and forget there ever was a microphone”*), but that would have been the easy way out. Now I’m officially adding “microphones” to my mental list of “Items I will never, ever draw again” (the list already contains necklaces and crooked glasses).

Ok, let’s concentrate ourselves on the positive things: it’s done and now I can finally start something new :-). This doesn’t mean that I’m not satisfied with the result, I simply don’t have the patience to continue … I think my patience got lost somewhere between the hairs of his beard.

Tutorial of Can you feel it? by arthawk87

Time: 38 hours
Size: A4
Materials used:
- HB mechanical pencil (0,5mm)
- B, HB, 2B, 3B, 5B and 9B pencils
- Kneaded eraser
- Blending sticks, my finger, and a brush
Reference picture

Oh, this reminds me of something: I found a new blending technique :D! Maybe you guys have been using this forever, but I just stumbled across it – by accident. I was erasing part of the background and tried to find something to wipe away those little, annoying leftovers from the kneaded eraser without ruining the drawing, when I thought of brushing them away with a paint brush. That worked out pretty well, and as I was about to continue with drawing, I realized that I blended the background nice and smoothly. It was really fascinating. Why hadn’t I thought of that before?!?! Anyway, thought I should share this epiphany with you :D (I wish I had one while drawing the microphone).

And now to the really important thing: The title "Can you feel it?" was suggested by :iconpanictowel: (THANK YOU :blowkiss:, you’ll get the promised llama badge in a minute :D)! It’s actually part of the lyrics from “The End of the Beginning” by 30 Seconds To Mars !

Okay, everything said, I think. Please comment :D!

Thank you very much. I know, it's ugly, but I'd rather add it to my drawings than have them stolen (I try to make them a bit more subtle in my newer works :-)).
