Angie Harmon as the She-Hulk by artguyNJ Angie Harmon as the She-Hulk by artguyNJ
I've been hearing that Angie Harmon wants the role of She-Hulk! I think she'd be a great choice- I've been a fan of hers since her Law & Order days! Add some green and some humor to Abbie Carmichael, and you've got Jennifer Walters!

I whipped up a concept to show what Angie would look like as the character and would love to do more, if it could help her secure the role!

I tweeted her this piece- if you agree, help me make sure she sees it! Thanks!

When I heard about this I immediately started looking for art and this is exactly what I was looking for. And since Angie is 5' 9", only an inch shorter than Chris Evans and four inches shorter than Chris Hemsworth it wouldn't be that hard to make her look like Jen, just add the invisible lifts in her shoes and it's done. She's pretty muscular already, she would nail Jen's vulnerability and badassery and she's funny as hell.

I think she'd need more bulk to play the She-Hulk, but I think she could act the hell out of the role, even if they had to use CGI.

Angie Harmon would have to put on some serious muscle for that role.

Agreed- more likely than not, they would probably have to CGI her.

You did an awesome capturing Angie's face work to this gamma-fied body. Awesome job on the punch realistic effect with the bricks shattering and flying in several directions. The colors are vibrant and the muscle definition is superbly done. Angie is probably tall enough, but needs a little more bulk whereas Gina Carano has the full package:love:

Thank you! Yeah, Angie would definitely need more bulk; that's what we were discussing early in this thread. They could certainly do it digitally, even if they had to do it the way they made Chris Evans look scrawny as pre-serum Cap in Captain America. As I mentioned above, I suppose it depends on how much they want Jennifer Walters and how much She-Hulk in it.

And of course, they could always ask Angie Harmon to add some bulk, herself. No one has suggested that, yet.

I would be truly honored if you would allow me to feature this in a new YouTube video tribute to the "She-Hulk." If you don't want it featured i will respect that and not put it in, or if you say yes. I will guarantee that your name will be in the credits and a link to your DA page or other homepage you prefer in the video description.

Hi! Absolutely- go right ahead. That'd be cool!

Yes, I'd like to be in the credits with a link to my dA page.

Please let me know when it's up- I'd love to see the video tribute (and post it on my Facebook page, too).

Thanks!

In fact, if you'd like, you can also use this piece I'd done for a puzzle in Rittenhouse Archives' '70 Years of Marvel Comics' card set!

She's definitely been showing the right attitude and enthusiasm for the role.

And she can do the lawyer-speak for Jen Walters just fine, too!

I found her comments very funny: [link] and here: [link]

:iconbrianthomas: is right. WHOEVER plays She-Hulk, they would have her as Jennifer most of the time. In any event there's no actress out there really bulked up enough who can actually ACT! Angie Harmon would bring some real intensity and humor to the role.

Don't forget guys... any She Hulk in say, an Avengers sequel will almost certainly be CGI. No way will the audience accept a woman painted green even in computer. She'll be CGI, maybe even buffer than she is here.

Only problem with the all-CGI route would be the cost, considering she's She-Hulk all the time. Unless they changed that for the movie version.

But I understand your point.

If she's in an Avengers sequel... price will definitely be no object! Since Marvel goes back and forth on whether She Hulk can change back to Jennifer, I figure she's in Jennifer form most of the time. She Hulk is more "human" looking anyway and I think the CGI route wouldn't be as expensive overall. I think it unlikely She Hulk gets her own solo movie/series though. If the Avengers continues to be the gateway franchise to the Marvel Universe, she'll either be there or in some Hulk sequel. Fingers crossed! :-)

I would imagine in the Avengers sequels (or the other Marvel sequels, for that matter), it'll be safer to introduce new characters. You're right- I've been hoping for more Hulk films. They could definitely bring her in there, too.

But does she have muscle? At least like in your picture? She-Hulk HAS to have muscle! Maybe even more than your picture shows! But we are talking Hollywood, so prob forget it. :( Some movie maverick would have to do it first, make it great, and prove women can have developed muscles and be sexy, heroic to the general public!

Angie Harmon, as is, doesn't have the bulk, but who does? I drew this because I heard of her own desire to play the role, and I can see it, from an acting standpoint.

Just Googled her. NO way! She is a skinny, anorexic fashion model. Oh she might be perfect for Hollywood, but no Shehulk!

See BrianThomasX's post below- that's been my point, too. Any actress would need SFX help for this role, whether it's making her appear larger like when they did the reverse to Steve Rogers in the Captain America movie (before he's transformed) or patterning a CGI model after her looks like they did with Mark Ruffalo and Hulk.

Angie Harmon? Come on...

Maybe Gina Carano. Or Jessica Biel. And even they'd have to hit the weights.

Not only would they all have to hit the weights, they would all need SFX help, since none of them is 6 foot seven. So, given that Angie has the face and the attitude, why not?

Exactly, or at least introduce the character in the next Hulk film so she can be set up. And mine too - alongside Ms Marvel and Spider-Woman, not to mention to Bakcl Widdow, all of whom should one day receieve their own flicks and prove that stuff like Catwoman and Elektra doesn't mean super hero films with lady protags can't work.

When I first heard about it, it made sense. She has the look facially and she's done the lawyer role in Law & Order (her character was one of my favorite ADAs on the show). I'm sure they can make her look 6'6" with SFX!
