Dang time flies. Been a long time since I've put anything up, but that doesn't mean that I haven't been busy. Just not as busy here. This past month, I had the very cool experience of seeing my colors show up in a real-life comic book. The book, Godsend #1, is an independent comic from About Time Comics. You should check out their website, http://www.abouttimecomics.net/, or follow them on Facebook as they're doing some really cool stuff. If you want to check out Godsend #1, you can find it here: http://www.indyplanet.com/index.php?id=8011, on indyplanet.com.
Coloring an entire book was admittedly an exhaustive, but really cool, endeavor. Th
Went to an event at the local comic shop here in the area this past weekend (9.8.12). Was a great experience all around. I'm always amazed at how many people in the area are doing something with comics. Got to sit in with several individuals who are working professionally in the business to watch them work and talk about different things. Also had two of them look over some of my colors and give me some great feedback on how I can get better. Was very excited for that as, if I'm going to do it, I want to do it well. So thanks to the Dragon's Keep for putting it on, to Travis and Phillip for the feedback and thanks to everyone for the encourag
I've finally got all my older stuff posted in the gallery (at least all the stuff that I thought was worth posting). I've got to focus on some current projects right now, so it may be a while before I can post anything new. But I'm glad to get all of this taken care of. Hopefully won't be too long.
I saw something on facebook where you mentioned having a DA account so I looked you up. Your stuff is good. I loved your Merida portrait. Keep it up. Family is good and healthy. Work is in Lehi now, so living it Payson, it doesn't give me as much time as I'd like to have for art and play. Anyway, keep working on your art. When do you actually finish school? Good luck with it all.
I've been taking the semester off from school, and I'm not sure when I'll actually be done! We're doing well, and Erika just got a new job at the Provo Library that will pay well! I'm trying to get some bigger projects done right now, so hopefully they'll keep moving along! Have a great day!
What's your wife doing at the Library? My dad is a librarian, so you can imagine my love of all things library. The Provo library is fantastic (a whole heckuva lot better than Payson's). Good luck getting done, whenever you do, and enjoy the ride while it lasts. Keep practicing.
