I was born in eastern Kentucky, in the mountains, and now, after living in a bunch of states, we're
living in western Kentucky. Go figure. It's good to be back in my home state, the last few years. I was
born to paint and happiest when I'm doing that. I love fantasy, but am always enthralled by the
beauty of the world around us. I used to find myself torn between the urge to paint realism and the urge to paint fantasy. I think I express myself most completely and freely when I'm working in the realm of the imagined, though. There is such freedom there, and humor. I am married, have a blue merle rough collie named Shadow Walker, and grow my own blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, and miscellaneous flowers.
