Unholy gatekeepers create hell for language learners while denying that the portal was ever open. Ghastly gaslighters ask, are you a real fan? They call you crazy for wanting to enjoy something by telling you that your efforts are wasted, unwanted. Creating in-groups with unpredictable membership rules and regs that no reasonable person would ever dream up, the cultural gatekeeper casts them out for questioning crazy.
