I am 66 years old, married to Carole, have three grown-up stepsons, two granddaughter, four grandsons and live in Hastings on the south coast of the UK.

By way of profession, I am a freelance design engineer specialising in 3D Product Design using Solid Edge as the primary software tool.

I like to escape the tyranny of the PC screen by doing painting - which my wife and I took up about 10 years ago having not painted since I was about 16.

I like slightly surreal and unusual subjects. I have relied quite a lot on photographs by others for my inspiration but I am trying to move more towards original material (which is hard when there is so much to inspire on Deviant ART!)

My wife and I have exhibited together and as part of a local painting group in various local settings including restaurants, cafes and bars. We have been fortunate (and very pleased and excited) to have sold several of our works. This encourages us to continue painting.
