I love to draw, I love to write, and I love plotting against the welfare of my characters. ; )

When I show someone something I’ve made, the image itself is a secondary matter. Line, contour, shading, color, and space are all means to an end: I want to make you care about something, or someone, you never knew existed until that very moment.

Art does not come from nothing— at least in my case. Before the first stroke of the pen there is a person, place, or thing that’s trying to escape onto the page. To me, there is no greater joy than discovering these new things, be they impossible sources of awe or relatable and inviting touchstones, and sharing them with others.
