The Outdated Library is a location deep beneath the city of Triviatopia. It is where most Categories end up once their information is proven false or becomes heavily outdated. The Library itself is sprawling with thousands upon thousands of bookshelves filled with the recorded remains of obsolete, false, or forgotten information. The shelves are dusty and dimly lit, as well as the residents themselves. Among the shelves, many of the more "pseudo-science" or "fake information" categories build homes, which can range from being sprawling networks of apartments or small closet-sized nooks.
The residents of the Outdated Library, or the Outdated for short, look just like regular Subcategories and Categories of the city, but they are noticeably desaturated and even ghost-like, depending on how obsolete they are. Ghost-like Outdated are often outdated information or past Categories and are often at peace with their eventual fade. The more physical and desaturated Outdated are considered false beliefs, such as conspiracy theories or anti-medicine. They can range from being fine with where they are against Trivatopians all together. This scale is represented through the terms Asocial and Antisocial Rogues.
Asocial rogues are peaceful when it comes to their stance on the people of Triviatopia, but they don't agree with the rules set by society. Therefore, they take up a life in the Outdated Library. Asocial rogues can be residents from above or Outdated, but residents of the city from above are at a high risk of being attacked by the antisocial rogues.
Antisocial rogues are often Outdated who are dead set on overthrowing the current society and replacing it with what they view as a less-flawed system. These beliefs vary, but more often than not, they involve replacing the Triviatopians of above with the Outdated, driving the Triviatopians down into the Library. They tend to be aggressive and will either attack or capture any Triviatopian who comes down into the Library. For this reason, the Library is closed off to most Triviatopians for their own safety.
There used to be a time when Triviatopians and Outdated lived together, but this was very early in the city's creation. The Outdated and Triviatopians would often argue, occasionally becoming aggressive towards each other. As the city grew and humans created new fields of study with new information, the situation only got worse. Finally, the leader of Triviatopia declared that the city would be split to accommodate both groups. Even with the split, the two groups continued to fight, so the Outdated were pushed farther and farther beneath the city as the Triviatopians became more advanced. Eventually, the old city was converted into a space for the Outdated, with the Triviatopians living above them. TO this day, the Outdated still occasionally attempt to rise up, but they never get very far
