#24 of the February daily picture run.
Check out the complete series: arsenal-best.deviantart.com/ga…

The Tricorder was sparked by the awesome work of :iconflosvensson: www.deviantart.com/art/Star-Trek-Steampunk-Tricorder-2622...
and Wade 3.bp.blogspot.com/-h9cAr1OPriU/UEqNxhnlHaI/AAAAAAAAqLg/5X...

But I wanted to do it with a brass metal shell without omitting the beautiful wood (using genuine burl wood veneer) with brass inlays in the inside.

Of course a lot of lighting will go inside as well (currently about 14 LEDs).

For the screen I used the fabulous Steampunk Orrery and Clock yereverluvinuncleber.deviantar… of Dean Beedell :iconyereverluvinuncleber:
I did find it so fitting, that I couldn't think of using something else and Dean was so kind to allow me the usage for this project.

Thank you!
I'm very happy that you like it, especially since much of it coming into existence the way it did, is owed to your fabulous inspiration!
