A project i started, then neglected due to work, then lost due to hard drive failure, and then finally finished, after more than 2 years.

Amazing! I loved!
Technique: impecable!
But the unexpected impact I had of this art takes me to my main point in this critique: some lack of creativity.
I really loved, but I made one with watercolors some days ago for my drawing class on art college and I sorry to say that, but it really looks like the fishes of the anime/movie of Avatar, the last airbender, that was actually my inspiration for my college work I mentioned. A old idea.

Although it is very beautiful.
Keep pushing your imagination to go further. You have talent. Go for inspiration.
I hope I helped you. Sorry if I disappointed.

Yes, the inspiration was from Avatar, one of my favorite shows, i started this when i first watched it few years back (i thought i mentioned it in description, but i must have mentioned it only on WIP shots).
Thank you for the critique!

I'm sorry if you've been waiting years for a critique LOL! I love the symmetry and centrality of the composition. Normally you're told not to do symmetrical compositions but forget that. The balance of cool/light and warm/dark colors here is good, very pleasing. I also love koi fish. These would be very rare in nature, with no marks whatsoever. White koi fish actually have blue skin and transparent layers of scales that make them appear milky white. The circle is thought to be the most perfect, divine geometric shape. I like its use here, the movement of the koi give it a soothing sense of motion. <img src="…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Thank you! :)
I'm kinda' obsessed with symmetry, i make the same mistake with photography as well.
I appreciate the critique! :aww:

You're very welcome :3 where can I see your photography??

Nowhere. :) Amateur stuff, with amateur camera. Frankly, nothing good enough to post, so i'll stick to my strengths. :)

This appeals to the Pisces in me... since we have a seething dark side too. We just prefer to show our more gentle, docile side to the world ;) This is really well done and stunning.
Hi, was wondering if I could have permission to use this image for a Iwidget I designed, the Koi would swim in a circle as the second hand...would like to share on, free of course with credit to you.

Thanks a lot
for me, being pisces, this picture is really inspiring. i don't know what all the watercolor fuzz is all about, it's as simple as it needs to be for me. if somebody would give me this for my birthday i would totally fall for it. the thing i liked most was the different contrast that reflected the pisces' eyes :)

thanks for this :p

Nice details And concept

i think it would of looked cool for the black fish if you used a color of the water underneath him as a highlight on the edge of the fish itself. if done right it would look like light reflecting off the water and onto the fish.

I agree with you completely. But frankly, i was too tired of it to change anything else. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out, but after 2 years of waiting it was this or nothing. :)

yeah ive had stuff like that. u just get so sick of it that you post it just to get rid of it.
