Manta Side

Theis sketch is 22" long and shows the head and spine. I admit that I have never read Mike's book and was going strictly off of Cris's description. I felt that the manta would have to be huge to support a temple and the alien creatures that lived there.

I came up with the idea that the manta would consume asteroids and other space debris the aliens had a device that would draw the rubble into orbit around the temple and they would harvest the material to create buildings and make land for plants and trees as well as ice for water. This device would also make a habitable atmosphere by trapping the necessary gasses for life.
