Fractured Patterns  (working title) pencil on Arches Hot Press mounted on maple 40” x 50”

It’s been years since I have posted a “work in progress”, this is the main drawing for my solo exhibit at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati starting in August.  This is the second largest drawing that I have ever completed, I have about 400 hours into to it so far.   I have eight weeks to get it done….how this will happen I have no idea

Wow, that takes a lot of patience, dedication, and love.   I can already see that it will be well worth all the time and energy put into it.

12 hours a day, X 7 = 96 X 8 = 768 hours. No days off for 8 weeks...

If you do pull it off, I will worry for your health, my friend. I was only guessing that 12 hour days would be required to even come close. Turns out that 12 hours days are the only possible way to do it, and that is assuming that at least a part of your canvas covers more rapidly than did the first 20%. You might consider leaving this piece for a show further out on the calendar.

Incidentally, I have an idea for you...

What about a wooded scene, such as you are fond of, but one that is overgrown with spiderwebs? Overlapping webs from multiple spiders, perhaps dozens of them?

Just a thought.

it will be epic and i will do it or die trying. im looking at 14 hours a day i will take a photo every hour, and stay away from beer until late. Also i need to get a workout in which i do every day.  and i like you idea a lot afraid of spiders though

My patience is shot straight to hell right now but I'm working on getting it in back.  When I do, I still wouldn't have enough to do what you are doing.  Incredible.
