Slavic Expansion by Arminius1871 Slavic Expansion by Arminius1871
Historical Atlas of Europe Project

As some of you may know :iconzalezsky: and I have been steadily working towards a secret project. This project is now well on its way; we have decided to slowly release the maps associated with the Atlas over time. The Atlas itself will still take time to compile. If you're interested in supporting our efforts towards this massive project feel free to donate to our Patreons: www.patreon.com/Zalezsky/posts and www.patreon.com/arminius1871

We are going to be releasing Ancient Eastern Empires, Bronze Age cultures, and Indo-European Migrations.

Did the Slavs and the Celts ever overlap?

No they did not. The celts on areas settled by the Slavs had already disapeared, by through romanization or by the germanic tribes settled in their areas and melting with the local celts.

Not your fault, you are follow written history, but why would Slavs in this particular case Serbs, migrate from north where is good land for agriculture, pass Pannonia nd settle to live almost on barren rock (today parts of Montenegro,Herzegowina,Kosovo,Macedonia) ?

Nope, that part that south Slavs migrated from somewhere is false.

I'm pretty sure the Bulgars were Slavicized Turks in some capacity.

It would be awesome if there we're actual countries in the Ural called "Old-Bulgaria" and "Old-Hungary"

The Danubian Bulgars were not called Bulgars at that time.

You're misunderstanding the events completely. The SLAVIC tribes in the area have already been established before the TARTAR Bolghars invaded the area. Modern day Bulgarians are the Slavic populations who took the name of the Tartar horde that ruled over them.

To save you some time, the population you labeled as "Danubian Bulgars" is in scripture referred to as "The alliance of Seven tribes" or "The seven Slavic tribes".

Ah, Slavs east of the Elbe. I believe the band Arkona got their name from a site on what is now Rugen.
'Nice land you have there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.' :XD:

Interesting to see the centre of the Carpathian Basin was left alone -- that was due to the Avars.

Interestingly, no they weren't. We now have definite proof in graveyards that after Charlemagnes genocide against them at the end of the 8th century, most still survived although some were converted forcibly. (Charlemagne was like that. He probably never actually read the Bible!!) These graveyards show clearly Avar graves and Magyar graves side by side.
There were never many Slavs in the central part of the region. Some trickled into Transylvania, some into Transdanubia, some into the Marchfeld, but the ancient Steppe people (Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans, Huns, Avars Magyars) in the middle, and Germans in the West, soon absorbed them. None of this is in debate.

Well, I suppose the region suited their lifestyle, it's open plains and ideal for a semi-nomadic way of life. And they were pretty powerful. Also they introduced the stirrup into Europe and this gave them an edge in cavalry warfare.

Schöne Karte^^
Hätte es gut gefunden, wären noch einige Jahreszahlen, wie bei der Kelten- und Germanenkarte, eingezeichnet sein.
