EVIL X — PAPI THE FATHER OF JUNIOR
COLD OPEN — NOVELIZED EDITION (Clean, Cohesive, Dramatic)
I. RUINS OF A DEAD CITY
The morning suns hung low over the frozen wastelands of planet Arcose, its twin rays struggling to pierce the smoke rising from the ravaged city.
Countless imperial units of elven soldiers in green military battle armor can be seen patrolling the now desolate streets with their intimidating blaster rifles.
Imperial tanks can be seen cycling their massive turrets around, looking for civilian survivors for execution…
Charred towers leaned like broken teeth. The air tasted of blood soaked metal, dust, and something foul — the psychic residue of a civilization that had died violently with a silent scream…
Hundreds of hungry vultures can be seen feasting upon the dead corpses of trillions upon trillions of Arcosians whose dead bodies can be seen littered all over the war torn grounds of their entire planet like discarded trash…
Countless alien bodies consisting of Men, Women, and children…
Amongst the horrifying destruction of last night’s planetary invasion, a sickeningly morbid collection of laughter from several individuals can be heard in the distance…
Six high ranking soldiers from the Demon King’s Imperial royal guard rested within the center of a massive crater, their identical green battle armor dimmed by both dust and ash. Their cruel laughter was light, almost casual, but their metallic boots were stained of dry blood carrying with it the memory of the night before…
They had been the demonic hammer that broke both the city and the planet, along with the millions of elven soldiers that had served under them.
It was a planet wide genocide operation. A carefully orchestrated military operation that was both carried out and authorized by none other than King Babeasta, The Demon King of Korriban and Supreme Royal Majesty of the Imperial Perez Family of Altar Emerald.
Papi Maximoff sat quietly among the other five soldiers in his unit, arms resting on his knees, eyes fixed on nothing in particular. The weight of fatherhood — and failure — clung to him more heavily than his demonic armor.
Captain Towmah of the Gray Guard walked towards the large pit where the six Green Guard soldiers were sitting around a campfire enjoying their cannibalistic meals of humanoid remains… The alien remains of the countless number of civilians they had murdered during last night’s planetary invasion.
He regarded Papi Maximoff with a calm, anchored expression.
“Papi,” Towmah said, “I heard your wife Morgan spawned you another kid. Congrats !!!”
Papi nodded. “Yeah. Another boy.”
Trinity Vosslet leaned forward. “You and Morgan got a name for him yet?”
Papi Maximoff said a single name with the sternest pride, “Junior...”
Tess teasingly responded with, “Oh that’s cute…”
The rest of the squad laughed but then murmured in approval — even the hardened ones softened for a moment — until Papi’s expression shifted.
Towmah caught it immediately. “You don’t sound too thrilled.”
“It’s not that,” Papi said. “It’s his power level...”
Jinx scoffed. “Then spit it out. And don’t turn this suspense into another monologue.”
Papi sighed. “Two…”
Jinx clicked his tongue. “Ah… I see… A Low-class demon. Figures...”
The jab stung, and Papi felt the familiar heat of anger rise — only to swallow it.
He had endured worse. He had given worse.
“But,” Towmah interjected gently, “a low power level means one thing… A blessing… our empire won’t throw the boy onto the battlefield. Not like the rest of us.”
Papi stared at the ground. “My wife Morgan lost two already because of this empire.
As a mother, she’ll protect Junior with everything she has.
But Honestly? I want him as far away from this life as possible. Away from all of this.”
The wind shifted, whispering across the empty ruins.
“Away from the Demon King’s influence?” Trinity asked.
“Away from the Imperial Perez Family’s vast military?” Tess smirked.
“Away from the very capital of Elena City in which we all serve?” Jinx scoffed.
Papi lifted his gaze. His voice was steady.
“I just want my newborn son to live his childhood, grow up and have a choice.”
Towmah studied him — and nodded with something like respect.
But Jinx only shook his head in disagreement. “Nobody gets a choice Papi. Not in this empire.”
The soldiers laughed lightly, shifting the heaviness away for a moment. They swapped jokes, war stories, faint scraps of humanity clinging to them like embers that refused to die.
Yet beneath every laugh hid the truth: something darker lived in all of them now.
Something the very empire they served had made…
Then Papi’s scouter beeped.
“Maximoff,” came the voice of Captain Armando Mayhem. “It’s your daughter. Tara’s making her way to Rock Village as we speak.”
Papi tensed. “Keep an eye on her. The jungle’s crawling with Metal Heads.”
Armando chuckled. “Your daughter Tara is fine, Maximoff. Trust me — the number of dead bodies that your daughter left behind for me to count speaks for itself. She would make a fine soldier one day. You should really have more faith in her.”
Despite everything, Papi smiled faintly. “Noted. Thank you, Armando.”
The transmission ended. Tess raised a brow. “What was that all about ?”
Papi’s expression shut down. “Nothing really, it’s just…”
Before more could be said, Towmah stepped forward, resetting their focus.
“Break’s over,” he declared. “Captain Jinx — your squad.”
Jinx barked orders. The soldiers rose, gathered their gear, and prepared to depart. But as they moved, Bolt voiced the question hanging among them:
“So… where were the psychics during the attack? The intel back at Sladinex HQ said this planet was chock full of them.”
Towmah frowned. “If they really could see the future… Then don’t you think they should’ve seen us coming?”
Jinx muttered, “Just because they’re psychic doesn’t mean they were smart enough to stop last night’s grand planetary genocide assault.
The squad chuckled — but their laughter died as a shrill alarm erupted from Towmah’s scouter.
“Unidentified blast signature,”
Towmah announced, voice low. “Not ours…”
Another explosion cracked through the air, shaking debris loose from the skeletal buildings.
A lone figure emerged through the settling smoke.
A alien rebel fighter — bruised, burned, and bloodied Arcosian, standing by will alone.
His eyes blazed with a psychic intensity that chilled the squad into silence.
“I wish you monsters could read minds,” the Arcosian spat, “so that you could hear the screams that were unleashed during last night’s invasion…”
Bolt’s face lit with morbid fascination. “Hey look — one survived!”
The alien moved. Fast. A blur of rage and desperation.
Papi stepped forward to meet him — but the Arcosian’s hand violently struck behind Papi’s back in a flash of extreme violent force which sent the master sergeant falling onto his knees without his spinal column.
The alien rebel then bashed Papi across the head with his own spinal column, collapsing him onto the ground and temporarily knocking him out in the process.
The world around Papi spun. His vision went black. His body went numb.
He couldn’t move.
He could barely breathe normally…
The Arcosian rebel then knelt beside him, voice soft but filled with a haunting conviction.
“Pain reveals truth, Papi Maximoff. And I give this truth to you freely.”
He leaned closer. “I promise… You will see the future !!!”
Towmah fired an energy blast from the palm of his hand, blasting the alien rebel away from Papi.
Both fire and smoke engulfed the wounded Arcosian rebel, but he still rose, now staggering like a zombie through the flames as if guided by sheer prophecy.
“Two planets…” the rebel rasped, “…three kingdoms… and one final war... Armageddy is coming… Death will be upon you all, it’s only a matter of time until the monster you serve solves the equation…”
Papi struggled to lift his head.
“The equation ? Wait… You don’t mean the “Anti Christ Equation !!!” Do you ? But why are you saying this to me?”
“Because,” the dying rebel whispered, “your superiors from both Elena City and planet Korriban have forever sought out the ancient psychic gift of my people… Believing that our power holds the key into answering the unsolvable equation of the Gods…
The ability to see the future is a divine power that your Demon King along with his seven demonic children hopes to acquire as a means of furthering their corruption, but through the grace of our Goddess Necronomica, fate has chosen you instead.”
Papi’s pulse pounded. His breaths became more shallow. The world dimmed at the edges.
“Yes… You can see it now, can’t you…?” the rebel breathed. “The downfall of the three kingdoms of planet Altar Emerald, The death of your vast armies and comrades, The death of your son and his closest friends during their adult years in the Battle of Armageddy… and finally the day of your Demon King’s rise to omnipotence on planet Korriban… which will lead into the final invasion of Heaven…”
Papi’s last reserve of strength surged.
“Enough!!! SHUT THE FUCK UP !!!”
A blinding light of blue nuclear power then erupted from the palm of Papi’s hand.
A final flash of pure energy and radiation illuminated the now ruined city as the rebel’s chilling death scream can be heard echoing in the background.
And then, Silence…
The rebel Arcosian now disintegrated from Papi’s full powered energy blast.
The world around Papi collapsed into a tunnel of fading sound and dimming vision.
Voices echoed distantly:
“Get him medical support!”
“He’s losing consciousness and a lot of blood !”
“Stay awake, Papi!”
“Maximoff — look at me!”
“Don’t you dare die — not on my watch!”
Their voices dissolved into a distant hum as his fellow soldiers and military medics lifted him onto a stretcher.
Papi’s thoughts drifted, hazy and far away — yet somewhere deep inside, one truth remained clear: Junior... His son…
The future he swore to change.
Papi felt darkness pulling him under.
But before unconsciousness claimed him, he managed to say one final whisper — to no one and to everyone, to the cosmos itself:
“I… will change… the future.”
Everything went black and Papi Maximoff was rushed back to planet Korriban for a spinal realignment. After his surgery he would be cleared to return home to planet Altar Emerald to see his family back in the Imperial Capital of Elena City.
This is where the story of Papi Maximoff begins… For he shall change the future !!!
