It was cold. It was so, so cold. Acaste had never been the sort of Curio to complain about the weather… but, then again, Acaste had never been to Sonderrime. Even with her new, cozy coat… it did much to protect against the elements, yes, but it didn’t do quite enough. She wasn’t used to this like the Eisgar were. To see them move about their home land with such comfort… she wondered if she could ever achieve that here. She rather missed the comfort of her home in the temperate climate of the forest. It was comfortable there, even in the middle of the night, and when the snows came… well, it wasn’t like this. Ilia had made themselves comfortable tangled in her hair, just beneath the furry lining of her coat. Some help the kazi would be. But, then again, she could hardly blame the creature. It was cold, and Ilia wasn’t used to it, either. But she had a job to do out here. There was a reason for braving the cold snows of Sonderrime, and the purpose of it all was… well, understanding.
