Thank you! If you ever have time, I'd love some feedback as to what is popular... So far, I am just testing the waters... :P

As far as I've noticed - quality model stock and quality backgrounds.

:) I don't (in general) do models, but perhaps I can lean toward backgrounds.

Hmm, is this one on arkansawyer?
arkytraveler's avatar
An edited version of it... In the one there, it has a frame around it... This was the original.

Ahhh, now I remember seeing it. I think I may actually like this "version" better, though :P (Not so up close; shows less pixilation :))
arkytraveler's avatar
well... this is the same image - I think - except that the other one was cropped and then the border added... :)
vandalises's avatar
Yes, but the one on arkansawyer is zoomed in. :P
I think...? :o
arkytraveler's avatar
aww... i can't remember anymore.. I think the biggest thing is that I cropped a lot of the black off the outside edges and brought it forward (which is basically what a digital zoom does on your camera)... In effect, it lowers the resolution of the final image.

So, if this started out at 1712x2288, and I cropped it to 1024x768, the moon resolution would technically be the same but it would look much larger on screen... hmmmm... okay, put it this way. .. this image, as present, looks clearer BUT smaller than the one posted there... but if you were to download the original image here... and view it at 100%, the size of the moon should be very close to the size of the other one at 100%.

Unless, of course, I posted a different original in which case you can ignore everything I just said. ;p

I haven't compared the two date/time stamps... I did have several shots from that evening and thought I used the same one but I might not have. doesn't matter I suppose. ;)
