OK, I understand that it is pretty difficult for you. But I would like to point out that I have found a method which is said to be quite easy for other skins, it is described here:…

by a guy named midiwriter, and that's why I thought it wouldn't be so difficult.

I have many versions of Winamp on my HDD, including 5.666 - the one you gave me the link to, I just install one of them at random whenever I reinstall Windows, I don't feel the need to have the latest version installed just in order to use a software which allows me to listen to music, and I reinstalled Windows about 2 weeks ago, and I happened to install an older version of Winamp this time - 5.112.

Yes, you can do it with a text editor, too. The colors of the default color theme are defined in xml\system-colors.xml in the Winamp Modern default skin and xml\studio-elements.xml in Pimeer. All other color themes are defined in xml\color-presets.xml in Winamp Modern and xml\gamma-presets.xml in Pimeer.

Adding an option to change the texture of the player and the equalizer would require a thorough rewriting of the code which would require 1. a lot of time spent on learning MAKI scripting, 2. a lot of time spent on writing the code and testing the results, and 3. permission from Pimousse, so I cannot undertake it.

As for adding more color themes, it is possible but I did not expect you to have such an old version of Winamp. Winamp version numbers are decimal, so 5.112 is much older than 5.35. Color Editor does not work with Winamp 5.112. If you want to keep Winamp 5.112 and want to use the Color Editor then you should install Winamp 5.35 on another machine.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. Sorry, I didn't know how to explain myself correctly. Uhh, look, what I mean is this: I would like this skin to have more colors aside from GOLD (Default), ANTHRACITE and SILVER. That is what I meant when I said "Color Themes". For instance, let's say I like very much the Wood Texture 6, and I wanna make the player and the equalizer have the same texture, you understand? Or any other Wood Texture, no matter it is 1 or 2 or 3, if I want the entire player (the rack and the equalizer together) to look like that, how do I do that?

Basically, I wanna edit this skin to my liking, I wanna add more colors for the deck and the equalizer, or at least to edit the 3 current ones and modify them as I please. How do I do that? How can I change the color ANTHRACITE to blue or black or yellow? I tried the Color Editor and it doesn't work, I didn't even find the application, I can do nothing with it.

My version of Winamp is 5.112.

Very nice work, but I have a question. Could you please create another version which would have more color themes? You know, add some more diversity to it? Or could you present a software or a tutorial detailing how one could do it, so that this great skin can be further edited according to users' desires?

You can create color themes for Winamp with Color Editor. It only works with Winamp 5.35 or earlier but the color themes created with it work with all later versions of Winamp, including Winamp 5.666.
