Vincent Valentine's Claw by Arienne-Keith Vincent Valentine's Claw by Arienne-Keith
Vincent Valentine's Claw, based off of AC and DOC. Download for full size.

Material is all brass, 24 gauge, all hand-fabricated.

Special thanks to Phyrbyrd and Kitten-of-Woe for the DD!!!

If you want to use it as a reference for your drawing, or print the image to hang up in your bedroom, that's perfectly fine. If sharing online, please link to the original in the description. As long as you don't take credit for making the original, I don't mind helping other artists and getting a little free advertising ^_^

Vincent Valentine's Claw by ~Arienne-Keith. The suggester wrote, "This is the most EPICALLY COOL piece of fanart I have set eyes on in forever, it's wearable and beautiful and allows for real life anatomy!" A year in the making and made of solid 24 gauge and 20 gauge brass. There is a link to a video in ~arienne-keith's artist comments if you want to see Vincent's Claw in action. Arienne,  are there any metal working (not jewelry) clubs or forums etc. here?  I am new (one week only)  and was hoping you could give me some guidance.  BTW have you seen the metalwork I did for Star Trek?  I worked for them ten years making metal wall sculptures for the ships for all three series.

Here's a group I joined many years ago (not aware of any others because it's been so long since I did any work). They're still alive and kicking after all this time though, so I'd imagine they're here to stay.

metalsmiths.deviantart.com/

I have been artistically inactive on here for so many years that I'm not sure what's going on in the metal/jewelry scenes nowadays. The website has even gone through a lot of changes over that time, so the way groups communicate is a bit different now. I was a member by the old way they did things but, checking the page just now, it doesn't appear that I was grandfathered in. I still get notifications from them though.

I just now checked your Star Trek stuff and that's awesome!!! I was born and raised a Trekkie :D

Oh my you have to miss it!  I use to think I couldn't live without my  torch.   I try not to miss it but it's not safe in an apartment besides almost everything I do is cold constructed.  Titanium can not be soldered so it all works out.  Congratulations on finding a good job!

And I'm only holding the torch because I'm trying to make props at the last second for a cyberpunk short film that I wrote. Got involved with indie films and haven't had much time to make props or anything else, lol

l love your work.  I think you will feel the same about my work.  I am a true metalsmith, trained in making holloware, flatware, large pieces, teapots and all the soldering and torch work that comes along with it so I can very much appreciate your work.

i absolutely love it. in my opinion that's how his claw should be made. by the way was the brass really hard to work with? and is the buyer gonna post a pic of his cosplay with the claw? also have you ever thought about trying to do the feet as well? just curious. once again the claw is just freaking awesome

yeah i wanted to get into vet tech but the community college only had one class for it and it was really complicated then i took some kind of food sanitary class which kind of sucked and was much harder so that didn't really go over well. not really sure what i want to do now so I'm still trying to figure that out. as for your beloved are they having like heart problems or health issues? i do like AZ but it's just to hot in the summertime. steelwork sounds like fun as well^^

that is good that he is doing better now. hopefully his good health will continue^^

as for college i just don't have enough for that right now but i doubt i would do a four year college anyway. i might take more classes in community college but not sure what i want to do yet. but i would like to do is try and help find lost animals in my area and get them back to their families. i always feel bad for animals that are out in the cold. for a side project i thought about building like a small/medium house and put in like a small heater and some food/water. for future jobs i would like to do something that involves animals or helping animals in some way

mmm, if you don't mind biology you could train to be a vet tech or something (vet tech lets you take care of the critters but you don't have to worry about the management stuff of opening your own vet practice; you'd just work for a vet). It's easy to get experience in that because animal shelters are more than happy to have volunteers come in and help.
