PA Store Updates and Prints

Wed May 19, 2010, 8:58 AM

I am hoping to figure out just what people want to buy in the way of textures. I have created some things that have sold very well but others that have yet to sell at least once. I am never sure just what the magic formula is for making something work. I always try new and different things and return back to other items as well.

My "Floral Fantasy" textures for Ballet for Kids4 is now available in the Poser Addicts Store. I have also created an expansion pack to go with these to turn your lovely ballerinas into fancy faes. I have created two new prints featuring the textures with two very darling girls who volunteered to wear them for the renders.

My products are available for sale at the following places: Fantasies Realm Market and Poser Addicts II . The products can be found under the name "Arial's Creations".

I want to say thank you to all who have been visiting me of late. I do sincerely appreciate all :+devwatch:'s, :+fav:'s and kind comments made to me in the last few weeks. I appreciate every last one and would like to give each one a friendship :rose:.

Springtime and New Things to do!

Thu Apr 15, 2010, 9:25 AM

Spring is definitely in the air. (So is the tree pollen.) Inspite of the usual spring allergies, I am suprisingly alert. I have been mostly in lurke mode of late but inspiration has finally struck (or I have finally beat my muse awake from her wnter slumber). With the release of the new Kids4 generation at Daz3D, I have been inspired to get creative with the kids clothing which is in dire need of textures.

My first texturing adventure is with the Gigi Garden Girl outfit by Mada, Thorne & Sarsa. This is a very cute outfit and great fun to play with textures. I am hoping to have this first set release sometime very soon to the Poser Addicts II market as an exclusive item. There will be more. I can texture kids clothing really well and have quite an extensive library of textures to choose from.

Shameless plug here: I have products for sale at the following places: Fantasies Realm Market and Poser Addicts II .

SPRING BREAK TIME!!!!

Thu Mar 11, 2010, 4:45 PM

It is that time of year when my husband is on spring break at the university where he teaches. The two of us are going away from home for a quiet week celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. I am just wondering were the time went because it only seems like yesterday when we were first starting out.

This is going to be a short journal entry for me as I have packing to do before we leave in the morning.

Life and Such.......

Wed Feb 3, 2010, 1:07 PM

You would never know how much a pet can influence your day to day living until they are gone. This pet started out as a child's school project and worked her way into our lives. Shortly after she arrived at our house, we became aware of the fact that she was female (the pet store assured us it was male). She was pregnant and gave birth to three healthy little ones. We sold one of them to another child needing a pet for their project and the other two lived with us until their deaths a few years ago. This little lady, however, outlived them and the average age for a guinea pig. Well, earlier this week I held her while she left this world. Now when I go into my home office, there is silence where there used to be churps, clicks and scratches.

I had to remove the cage from the office because I kept expecting her to greet me in her own way. She is gone but not forgotten.

I have a new product and updated product now for sale at the following places: Fantasies Realm Market and Poser Addicts II The products are Seasons of Roses for Fae Realm and Snow Lace for Selene.

I must say thank you to all who have been visiting me of late. I do sincerely appreciate all :+devwatch:'s, :+fav:'s and kind comments made to me in the last few weeks. I appreciate every last one and would like to give each one a friendship :rose:.

Season's Greetings......

Thu Dec 24, 2009, 2:45 PM

Happy Holiday's for whatever holiday you choose to celebrate. I have left a couple of gifts in my gallery for my watchers.

The first is a desktop background which contains both Apophysis elements and Poser 3d elements. The ornaments were made from dragon eggs that were created in Apophysis and finished up in Photoshop CS2. The figure in the tree was created using models in Poser 7. The whole picture was put together in Photoshop CS2.

Seson's Greetings 2009 by Arialgr

The second item is for Poser users. It is Christmas Dream textures for Faerie Dreams free Tink Dress and Flutterby Wings 3. Hope you enjoy them.

Christmas Dreams by Arialgr

And now that all my posting is out of the way, I am off to enjoy my family tomorrow. I will be doing the turkey this year along wih several other dishes to take to my mother's for lunch. The morning will be spent with the kids and opening our gifts here at home and putting the finishing touches on my dishes before we leave for mom's.

Here is to wishing that the jolly o'le elf will bring you all you need for the season.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

Playing with CSS

Mon Dec 14, 2009, 2:14 PM

Now that I have a Premium Membership, this obligates me to play with CSS. I am going to give a go at creating some special graphics for my journal. I am going to try to create something new at least every season if not more often.

My first is for the winter season. The little fae at the bottom is wearing a very special texture that I created for the FaerieWylde Solstice celebration. If you follow the link there you will find many wonderful offerings during this joyful time of the year.

As soon as the celebration is done there, I will begin moving my different freebies to my DA account to make them available here in my gallery. I am also hoping to extend my "for sale" items in the coming year. I have received some very positive comments about some recent changes that I have made to the one texture that I have created for sale. There will be many other projects coming down the road in the weeks to come.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

Early Christmas present.....

Thu Dec 10, 2009, 8:23 PM

I am floored. I just received a year membership from my daughter Fluteplayer779 and so I had to add CSS to my journal. I am very happy that she was to thoughtful to do this for me.

This has been a very trying year for me healthwise. I do believe that I am finally on the mend when it comes to my health. The problem that I had was actually sort of a brain fog and weight issues related to my thyroid being out of balance. I am Hypothyroid which means that my thyroid was not producing enough hormone to boost my metabolism to keep me from gaining so much weight. I really do not know just how long I have had this condition but it does explain a series of issues that I have had off and on for many years. Right now I am beginning to feel like I am finally waking up from a very long waking dream. My thoughts are much clearer and I can actually get through a whole day without having to take a nap.

I have begun a series of projects now that I am thinking clearer that I hope to generate a small income from in the near future. I have several clothing textures under development and at least one soon to be in stores. Once a special giveaway is over I will add this year's texture giveaway to my account here. I have some other packages on Sharecg but I think that I will just add them here as well with much better promo images. I have actually learned quite a bit in texturing and have received very good reviews on the promos that I produced for them. I may just add promos for the new "for sale" textures to my gallery here.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

This has been a most eventful year for me. Even though I am still unemployed, I am finding that people are seeking me out for photography work. I recently published photos of my daughter I had taken for her senior year at school on my Facebook page. As the result I have had a couple of families approach me asking if I could do family photos for them. I do believe that I may have a new outlet for some of my creativity this way.

I have been taking on some beta testing projects for different places in the 3D world. My most recent post is for a dear friend of mine testing out her soon to be released for sale dollie named Kyleena. Watch for her arrival sometime in the near future. I also plan on releasing more texture for different outfits by the beginning of the next year.

The most eventful part of my summer has been receiving a diagnosis of "Hypothyroidism". It really explains all of the symptoms that I have felt over the recent years that seemed not to be connected. The worst symptom of all was a weight gain of 5 pounds a month even though I was almost eating nothing. This was very frustraiting for me as no matter what I did the scale kept climbing rather than going down. I would urge all women to get the thyroid test added as part of their physical every year. This is one hormone that is essential to maintaining your health and processing your food as energy rather than fat. Now that I am undergoing treatment, the weight gain has stopped. Now I need to search out how to work with this and reduce the amount of weight that I am carrying around.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

I have been just way to busy coordinating transportation between husband, and three working kids. I have had to really plan out my schedule to get common chores accomplished because we only have three cars and too many needing to go places. This really has not left me much time for working on any graphics. I have also been spending some time with getting some things together for my oldest son who is currently serving the Air Force in Iraq.

That being said, I have managed to improve some of my photography skills by taking some really great pictures of fireworks. Just as soon as I am able to process some of my work I will post them here for all to see.

As we move into the fall, I will be getting ready for a family vacation soon to spend time relaxing with the family. When we get back the girls will be back into the swing of band camp before school and that will take some of the pressure off as they can ride together. I am looking forward to the routine that the fall school brings that will leave me with time for my artwork once again.

Now that I have bored you all again, hope you have a good week.

Well, hubby and I ran off last week for our annual spring break vacation without the kids. It is always a nice time to just get away together and relax without having to play referee. We really don't have to do it as much as we used to when the kids were little. We did not go anywhere special or do much of anything other than get out and enjoy the weather when we could. I am hoping to work on some recent photographs that I took so that I can get them posted for everyone to see.

This week, I am home with the kids as they are on their spring break. This really is not a bad thing since they are self entertaining being teenagers. I just have to remind them that there are chores to be done around the house.

I am seriously needing to get back into creating some new textures for some of the latest outfits out there. I am hoping to post more of the demo type pictures here in order to improve my chances at getting my items into some bigger markets. Breaking into any sort of graphic arts area seems to be really hard unless you find your way into the inner circles of the elite. I am hoping that if I keep at it long enough I will finally get noticed by someone or anyone who can help me to turn this into something more.

I used to not mind going into an office to work but since I have been unemployed my mind has seriously changed. I like being able to work at home in my own office with no one looking over my shoulder. I have to be more self disiplined in order to get things done, but I am also flexable to take care of things that I could never get off for before. I can find the hours that fit my creative moods and work between taking care of things at home. Granted this would really be ideal if I could actually earn a decent income from all my effort. I must say that I am wonderfully blessed with a spouse who is allowing me to explore this aspect and try to make a go at working out of the house.

Well, I have bored you all enough with my ramblings.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

Okay, so I am a few days late with my greeting of the new year but it is still within January. :D

My wish for everyone is that they find peace within their current situations and can find solutions to their troubles. I am still unemployed in the standard sense of the word but I am focusing more on my digital work this year. I did find one place last year that would sell my texture work but I really have not made much from it. I have made an attempt to make more of my work here available as prints but that has yet to make a sale for me.

So, I guess I need to find an audience for my work that will actually buy it. I have friends that have been very encouraging when it comes to my artwork but that only gets me so far. Anyone with suggestions on how to increase my viewership and traffic to my shop is welcome to give me some input. Please, only constructive advice at this point.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

Where has this year gone? What will the new year bring? These are questions we ask every year at about this time. Looking over the past year, I have found many blessings. I have friends who have been very supportive. Even though I am unemployed, I have found things that I really enjoy doing even though I do not receive payment for them. I have been able to discover some new talents I would not have been able to find had I been working full time.

In the coming year, I have set some of my goals to improve my life with healthier eating, exercise and simple meditation to begin my day. In doing this, I am hoping to reduce my weight and give myself more energy and a better outlook on life. God plays a central role in my life by providing me a focus and a rock that grounds me as I go through the hecktic periods of my life. I also hope to gain some partial employment by working on my graphic textures for 3d items in the coming year. I have many new textures that I am planning out but I just need the time to get them done and tested out.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

Okay, so the other journal item was a complete bust. However, that being said, I have recently gotten my first set of textures for sale at a place called "Fantasies Realm Market". Their store can be found at the following www.fantasiesrealm.com/market/… .

I am working on more textures and getting ready for the Christmas season. I am planning on mixing more of my fractals into some of my new textures. I have been playing with some of the new scripts that are out there and creating some amazing stuff. I hope to soon put up more images using those textures and outfits that I am in the process of creating.

Here we are going into the changeable weather of fall. A couple of weeks ago we had a very beautiful kick off to fall with the annual bonfire at my mom's farm. The day was just right for the even and the weather cooperated.

I know a lot of people don't watch me much or read my journals. I would like to know if I began an online store for candles, fragrances and incense, (I may also pick up some fantasy items as well) would you all come visit my store. I am going to continue with my art work but lets face it, I have really not sold anything here. I have come to love displaying my artwork and soon some of my photography work here at DA. But I really need to begin to get some supplimental income coming in.

What I am going to do is if you respond to this journal, I will note you with a $10 gift coupon once I receive them and the address to my store.

Speaking of photography, I just invested in a much better zoom lens for my camera that does the job of two. I will soon be putting up some pictures just as soon as I get them ready to post.

I do want to express my thanks to those who watch me and look at my work. Your comments and favors are very much appreciated.

We have come to that time of the year when the heat and humidity combine to really zap my energy. As a result, I prefer to remain inside as much as possible until the weather decides to back off and cool down again.

My family and I just returned from a week's vacation in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. My daughter, Fluteplayer779 has posted a few pictures from that trip in her gallery. I am sure that there will be others that will show up there soon.

I will hopefully be working on some new graphics soon. I need to work on some new textures for items that I have and set up a personal store on my web site. I have not linked it here just yet as there is very little that is related to my current artwork on the site yet. I hope to be working on that very soon and get it up and running. I am planning on gearing it more towards the electronic scrapbooker and those in the 3d world.

I realize that my journal is no longer something of interest to most people as I am not currently subscribed here at DA. I would like to know just what it would take for people to visit my gallery. I have several options or directions that I could take my gallery in.

1)I could add photography to my gallery and create stock images that people would like to use.

2)I could go back to creating fractals again and exploring the new scripts that are coming out.

3)I could go on exploring the art of 3d work. That will continue to be simple scenes and portraits. I would love to know if you would rather see more portraits or scenes.

4) I could start posting my 3d textures and give aways here on deviant art instead of elsewhere.

Tell me what you think I should do. I am really interested in hearing from those who watch me to see what their interests might be in the new directions that I could go.

Before too long I will change my avitar once again to something different. I am working on learning PHP and MySQL in order to begin a store on my website.

Well with this journal you will notice that I have let my subscription expire. Yes, I am still unemployed. I just wish that there would be some way that I could actually get my artwork to sell.

I am going to have to figure out just how I can be a texture artist for the 3d world and make a modest income from it. I have the website that I need but I lack the skill at putting together a business site. I would like to be able to create a store on part of my site where I could sell everything from backgrounds, clothing textures to doll skins. I am not looking to make a huge fortune from this, just enough to take care of subscriptions, new objects and other things.

I am amazed that my page visits are still climbing and people are still coming to see my work. I humbly thank you for continuing to check out my gallery. I hope to soon post some new work for everyone to check out.

A fool's afermath.....

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 2, 2008, 11:43 AM
:fella: :devart: :fella:

So now that everyone is totally confused by the antics of yesterday, I for one am not really going anywhere at least until May. I figured that most everyone that I watched in the Apo community were playing some weird joke (and I was totally right) and just played along with what they were doing. That was fun.

Only part of my story was true yesterday and that is what makes for a good prank. I have not sold anything here on DA but what the heck. I do what I do for art's sake and I really don't care who sees what I do. I will never be as popular as some no matter what I do. :D

DA all screwed up....

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 1, 2008, 6:29 AM
:fella: :devart: :fella:

With so many people leaving DA, I am not really sure that I will be sticking around much longer. I see so many of my online friends leaving and having major life issues that it really leaves me :( and I can not take it any more. If they are gone, is this place really worth my time. I have yet to sell one print through this place, so I need to go someplace where I can even a meager amount of money. I will spend the rest of my day thinking about just what I am going to do with this account.   And just what is up with the icons, they are turning into the same icon. This place is a true mess today. Some joke!

Wishing for Spring!

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 6, 2008, 6:33 PM
:fella: :devart: :fella:

Wow! Has it really been that long since I have updated my journal? I am ashamed to say that I have neglected to update my journal here on DA. The unemployment saga continues but I am not all that worried about it. (Really!) We are finally at that time in life when I don't have to work. I can actually take my time to find a job that I am trained for instead of settling for one that only gave me grief instead of satisfaction. With only one child left at home, the bills are finally to the point where we only need to have one income to get by. Of course, it would be nice to have a supplimental income just to be able to get some of the extras but I really don't miss working. I have been strongly thinking about going into business for myself. I would like to put my graphic skills to work and do something that I really enjoy doing for once in my life.

I am really getting along well with my Wacom tablet and am learning new stuff all the time. There are times when it goes all wonky on me but that is part of the learning process. I have also spent quite a bit of time playing around with 3D graphics. I have been learning to create very interesting things in both DAZ Studio and Poser 7. I have been developing my Photoshop CS2 skills as well and begun to texture some of the free clothing that I have been aquiring of late. I have also begun to scour the net for items to use for backgrounds or just elements like flowers, trees and other fill in pieces.  I am also going to dig out the updated versions of Apophysis and get back into creating some new fractals. I want to touch base once again with something that got me started here in the first place. I am sure that most of you would rather see fractals instead of my 3D art. I will also have to update this tired old journal to bring out some new graphics. ;)

I must say thank you to all who have been visiting me of late. I do sincerely appreciate all :+devwatch:'s, :+fav:'s and kind comments made to me in the last few weeks. I appreciate every last one and would like to give each one a friendship :rose:.

Here is wishing that the spring will come soon this year. It has been a very strange year here in mid-Missouri. We are located in central Missouri just north of the river. Sometimes this makes a very big difference in the amount of snow or whether or not we get ice instead. For example, the last snow that we had literally divided Jefferson City in half. Half of the city saw heavy snow and the other half only a dusting if any at all. It was really funny to listen to people on one side of town trying to figure out why the other side of town was complaining about the weather.

Here are my most recent submissions to my own gallery.
