Description
Following a similar site at a friend of mine's apartment, I got the inspiration to put all my convention badges (seven as of this submission) into a picture frame and hang it up on my wall. So after waiting longer than I needed to I went out to Wal-Mart and dropped $11 on the frame and did it.
I know the badges are out of alignment with one another, and that's for two reasons: 1) the badges and their little pouches are of varying shapes and sizes; and 2) it kinda represents how I go into every con knowing what I'll be doing and when I'll be doing it, but things don't always come out as neat and tidy as I thought they would. Mann traoch, Gott Lauch and all that.
With enough time, this frame will be overflowing with badges. And after that, well...guess I'll have to get another frame.
The badges are, in order:
— Otakon 2005
— Katsucon Twelve (2006)
— Otakon 2006
— Zenkaikon 2007
— Otakon 2007
— Metrocon 2008
— Otakon 2008 (with Dealers' Room endorsement)
— AnimeNEXT 2009 (with Dealers' Room endorsement)
— Otakon 2009 (with Dealers' Room endorsement)
— AnimeNEXT 2010 (with Press endorsement)
— Otakon 2010
— New York ComicCon/AnimeFest 2010 (with Press endorsement)
— MangaNEXT 2010 (with Press endorsement)
— Katsucon 17 (2011) (with Press endorsement)
— Zenkaikon 2011 (with Press endorsement)
— Castle Point Anime Convention 2011 (with Press endorsement)
— AnimeNEXT 2011 (with Press endorsement)
— Otakon 2011 (with Press endorsement)
— New York Comic Con and Anime Fest 2011 (with Press endorsement)
UPDATE 28 December'11: Wow. Talk about dropping the ball. Over two months between the conclusion of NYCC/AF and actually putting it up? Something is wrong with me...
