Merman Ky Luc

The majestic Ky merm takes the appearance of a lionfish to ward off predators. Although his spines may not be venomous like a lionfish, his bite is, allowing for some kind of defense against a stronger fish (or a hotheaded siren *cough* Lacus *cough*) should he encounter a fight with one. Lacus affectionately calls Ky “candy cane” due to his stripes.

This is a drawing based of an Owari no Seraph merman au roleplay among myself and a few friends.~ I was inspired to draw after looking at aquarium fish at the pet store. <3 I used Faber Castell colored pencils and Copic markers to create this beauty.
