The 39th edition of the Sunday Soundcheck traverses across the Atlantic to South Africa and the band Bateleur; named after an indigenous eagle, their sound soars and peaks in an appropriately dynamic fashion. Releasing only two EPs to date, their sound relies heavily on strong rhythm and use of brass instruments, making for an engaging post-rock listen.
Recommended is the track Twins from Cargo Cults.
