Rosetta

The Anaesthete - 2013
Origin Point:
United States
Sounds Like:
Atmospheric Sludge Metal, Post Metal, Drone, Ambient, Post Rock, Progressive, Experimental
As with last week's feature, this time around I look at a post-metal band whose sound has evolved constantly since their first release. Starting with the dual-layered, dense and inaccessible, two-disc début The Galilean Satellites, Rosetta have streamlined their sound with each following publication, culminating in the fine melodies and soaring guitars of new release The Anaesthete - awful cover-art aside.

Maybe I'll end up enjoying something enough to feature it myself.
