  • Who shot first: Han Solo or Greedo?
Han Solo, and anyone that says otherwise is committing sacrilege.

  • What aspects of the Star Wars Universe really get your midi-chlorians flowing, whether passionately or angrily?
The diversity of cultures throughout that distant, long ago galaxy, was largely inspired by George's friendship to the great mind that was Joseph Campbell. I wrote a substantial essay in college surrounding the many facets of Campbell's work that are so lovingly crafted into the Star Wars Universe to bring life, depth, and realism to the many inhabitants across the galaxy.

  • What Star Wars fan art goes above and beyond capturing a scene or character perfectly?

    It's a Trap!
I second that. :)
I think it would be a great way to get your art out there.
And for print costs, I have heard better things about IndieGoGo.com than kickstarter..

ah.
Paragraph 1, statement ii: "must use the comic script/storyboard to ILLUSTRATE within the provided Template"

Whether this is how they intend on judging it is uncertain. However, I feel it is very possible that the holdup is because there is an even spread of individuals that only illustrated, illustrated and colored, and included lettering. If the rules are strictly illustrated only, the DA staff might be debating over how loosely they want to judge because several very good pieces are colored, and others are not. For all we know, they may be conferring with Silvestri for advice.
actually.

There is no definition given for "complete."

By comic industry standards, to" illustrate" a comic page by a provided script means strictly to illustrate. Nothing in the rules or contest description says anything beyond "draw" or "illustrate." It says "by drawing a three-panel comic using the script created by Top Cow writers." NOT "by drawing, inking, coloring, and lettering a three-panel comic using the script created by Top Cow writers.

We will just have to wait and see what the judges come back with.
