Wow, I'm certainly not the most active person on DeviantArt, but it's a shock that I'd not yet seen your gallery before today! So many wonderful carvings, each one better than the last! Not only that, you're a master of whatever medium you seem to tackle; I'm sure you'd put me to shame if you picked up a pine wood block! Hopefully you'll do another jack-o-lantern or two soon, given the time of year; you have a special talent with those. Keep up the excellent work, I'll be watching you closely.
Thank you very much. It's great to hear from another person who enjoys traditional arts/carving (I really like your snow ponies by the way). Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be doing any pumpkin carvings this year. I'm pretty overwhelmed with college work at the moment and I don't think I'll have time for the hours it takes to complete those pumpkins that I normally carve. I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm hoping I'll have more time next year. I probably won't be able to add anything new until December or January.
Absolutely, I know how work gets in the way. College applications are going to take up nearly all of my 'free' time in the coming months. Keep priorities in line, get done what needs to be done, and if there's time left, carve ponies (or whatever you do to blow off steam). The world can survive a year without pony jack-o-lanterns. Oh, and I'm glad you like those snow ponies; the latest forecast is calling for a snowy New England winter, so there's hopefully more to come. Good luck in your endeavors, whatever they may be!
