Planning to upgrade my old PC From this:

Processor: i5-4670K
Memory: G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 1600 4GBx2kit CL9 Red F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Gene
PSU: Corsair RM850w
Case: Bitfenix Phenom M
GPU: Galax EXOC GTX 1060 6GB
Hard disk #1: 2TB
SSD: Plextor M5 Pro 128gb

To this:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 12-Thread 3.40-3.90ghz 16mb 65W
Motherboard: MSI B350M Mortar
Memory: GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB 2x4GB DDR4 2800 (F4-2800C15D-8GVRB)
PSU: Cougar VTX500 80+ Bronze 500watts PSU
Case: Fractal Design DEFINE R4 Windowed White

I still have my GPU / SSD / HDD or the PSU to save money and migrate them to the new PC
that I plan to build. Since the major component that needed to be upgraded is just the
Motherboard, Memory, and the Processor. Thank goodness Memory pricing I guess is going down
now and luckily I bought my GTX 1060 6gb just September of Last year 2017 before the Crypto
boom that forced the Graphics Card manufacturer to skyrocket there prices due to shortages.

I know i5 4670k is still a great processor till this day and it can still play games smoothly 60fps
no problem at all. I don't know how long the i5 4670k can keep up I felt that it might already
be its last leg.

I'm going all out AMD because of Ryzen this year and I've been using Intel for the past 5 years.
I've been back and forth with AMD and Intel. I remember the last AMD that I got is an old
AMD Phenom II X6 1055t 2.8Ghz back in 2012.

Upgrading my Graphics card to MSI GTX 970 4G

Sep 25, 2014
Well at least I've waited long enough to upgrade my aging Palit GTX 680 it's been two years that I'm using it. The graphics card is awesome with a lot of games that I throw at it. Last month I've been itching to upgrade to a GTX 780 or an R9 290x when I've heard that Nvidia would release a new card called GTX 970 and 980 codenamed Maxwell I waited to see how the new card would perform can it beat a GTX 780, GTX 780ti, or GTX Titan. To my surprise when I've waited for the reviews a few weeks upon its release and read some of it. I've seen a lot of positive feed backs on Maxwells performance it outperforms AMD's high-end card 290x and it top...

To upgrade my GTX 680 to R9 290x or GTX 780ti?

Aug 29, 2014
Right now my work sometimes play Station is equipped with a GTX 680 I'm planning to upgrade it to a GTX 780 .. I'm also considering the GTX780ti or the R9 290x. Should I stick to my GTX 680 since it can still handle newer games still runs at around 30 to 28 fps on newer games in Ultra or highest settings in like Battlefield 4, Batman Arkham Origins. The reason to upgrade is that I have a 27" 1440p monitor (Asus PB278Q) which I wanted to experience its full potential to run smooth at around 60fps. I'm just experiencing 1/3rd of its potential on a max settings on a 1440p on GTX 680. I also have an i5 3570k and a Gigabyte GA Z77N WIFI Mini-it...
