I was trying to get a similar effect to some of *Zueuk's 3D pieces, and I think I did a decent job. A little too patterned, though.

I really like it - I think the detail on the bobbly bits (my apologies, I can't think of a better way to say it!) balance out the smoky effect you've got towards the top.

Those bits are why this piece is called "Ova"--they remind me of eggs.

Thanks for the comment, by the way. My work's been so stagnant lately that I haven't really been giving people a reason to look at my stuff :P

Wow, I love the flowing light. It is almost like a wisp of blue-hot flame - how did you make it?

It's made with the program Apophysis 2.06 3D hack, which is specifically for making fractals such as this one. It's very much a different approach to 3D than conventional 3D modeling. If you want to check it out, you can download it here: [link] (3D hack for the 3D version and 2.08 beta 2 for the 2D version)

ION CANON.

>_>

I've been playing too much C&C, lol. Seriously though, it looks good. It actually kind of reminds me of one of those old school, gas stove burners, for some reason.
