Badger pipe by Arcangelo-Ambrosi Badger pipe by Arcangelo-Ambrosi
The customer wanted an adaptation of my old Rohan Horse pipe (this Rohirrim pipe by Arcangelo-Ambrosi ). A badger instead of an horse, because this particular animal has a special meaning for him. I really enjoyed this work and I'm quite satisfied with its design and the badger stylization. I'm also very happy of the simmetry of the pipe.

Excellent interpretation and a graceful form!  Much like your last piece, it seems like the badger's chin would rest comfortably in one's hand. :)

Thank you! :) again, the priority was the design, it's quite comfortable but not like the last piece ahah :) but fortunately the long stem in this pipe is an alternative comfortable grip :)

This is brilliant! You've done a superb job.

(By the by, it ought to be spelled "symmetry").

Thank you so much! And thank you for the correction. I probably make a lot of mistakes :)

Well, I apologize. I'm compulsive about spelling. But, I figured that being such a great carver, you'd probably use the word again in the future.

Oh, this looks absolutely gorgeous! I love it! The badger is so well recognisable even within it's very reduced form; it's one of these perfectly designed pieces where you feel like every line is perfect; nothing too little nad nothing too much!

Thank you so much for your comment .  I was very afraid to make a barely recognizable badger. I'm glad you like the design :)

Oh, how very beautiful indeed. I like the scale and symmetry and the colour is absolutely perfect - wonderfully deep, warm and earthy. The patterning along the sides of the bowl is so appealing as well. Great work~

Thank you so much for your comment :) me too, I'm happy with the color :)
Once colored, the wood has revealed a "strong" grain, so I was afraid to "weaken" the patterning on the sides, but fortunately I remedied with a very subtle sanding.

Only a pleasure~
Well I'd say it definitely worked. I'll have a lot to think about when I try making pipes of my own.
